Seyi Akiwiwo, You can boo me all you like baby! Acrylic on Paper, 42 x 59.4 cm, £250.jpg

How long does a portrait take?

It varies, but usually 3-4 months. This will consist of at least 6 x 2hr sessions to establish a likeness and the composition. Framing and shipping time should also be factored into a completion date.

If a portrait is being painted from a photograph, what size does it need to be provided?

Photographs should be in printed in colour, size 5" X 7" or 8" X 10". Do not send photographs with red eye or eye glasses with glare. Digital images must be Jpegs at least 2MB. Images from the internet are not accepted, as they tend to pixilate.

Can I change the colours or the clothing in the photographs I provide?

Yes, we can discuss these options if working directly from a photograph.

Can you design a particular background for my portrait?

Yes, we can discuss this at the conception stage.

Can I get a refund on my deposit?

Deposits are non-refundable

If I get an original portrait, can you make prints of the original for family members or others that are in the portrait?

Yes, for an additional fee, I can create prints of your portrait and/or frame the portrait for friends and family members.
